Message for Laura from Kathy - July 24, 2019
Hello Laura, Does Saturday, March 21, 2020 work for you as a bridal shower date? If not, how about Sunday, March 15, 2020? I ask because ... Last night Judy and I were together for the first time since early April and and of course the topic of your bridal shower came up! We're eager to start planning, and also recognize that it might not be possible to start quite so soon. To start planning we will need the date, location and # of attendees. Knowing a bit about the attendees will be helpful too because we're thinking that a shower attended by 300 23-year-olds should be a little different than a shower for ten family members aged 11-111 if we want people to have a good time. (These examples are meant to be funny. We don't think we can handle 300 guests, and we're not aware of any relatives who are 111 years old! But hopefully you get the point ;) We're thinking that the sooner we know the shower date, the better chance we'll have of getting a good price on the plane tickets. (I updated the list of "action items" below so the new due date for picking the shower date is Sep 30, 2019. Let us know if this isn't doable.) We'll work with the info you give us when you give it to us, but have listed due dates below that we think will enable us to host the best shower we're capable of hosting. Note: This shouldn't be confused with the best shower ever; we're not sure we'll be the best shower hostesses ever, although we'll do our best :D So ... the sooner you're willing to select the shower date, the more appreciative we'll be. And the sooner you select the location and tell us a bit about the guests (# & ages), the better we *think* the shower will be. With all of that said, you still have some time if things are up in the air, but I wanted to you know a due date below has changed. Love, Aunt Kathy P.S. I'll be happy to stay at a nearby hotel (and bring Andrea with me) if you run out of beds (or floor space :) at your house during our visit for the shower. There's no need to make any decisions about this until the date nears. I just share this info in case it eliminates some stress around all of the planning you must be doing! |
