Many kids are proud of their parents' careers.
The first 50 Working Parent Stories produced eight surprises. The second 50 stories produced six learnings. The third 50 stories produced the following 11 insights:

  1. Current thinking is that a fulfilling career is an important component of a complete life.
Examples: More or Less? and Hidden Joys

  2. Most Working Parents possess more power than they realize to achieve their career goals.
Examples:  Employer, Spouse, or You?, What Can I Do About It?, Would a Man Want Your Job?, Choices and Consequences, When Parents Act Like Corporations and Pushing Parental Leave

  3. Many kids are proud of their parents' careers.
Examples:  You're An Author and Speaking of Business Travel

  4. A working spouse who encourages your career can provide a great career advantage.
Examples:  Super Spouses, Now Showing: RBG, Couples That Work and  Great Husbands!

  9. Working parents are willing to publicly express the strong emotions associated with parenthood without feeling like it undermines their career opportunities.
Examples:  His Big Heart and Post Business Trip Reunions

  10. Working parents continue to juggle many roles.
Examples:  Captain's Log, Don't Do What I Did, The Hate U Give, Tom Brady as Dad, This Is How It Always Is and Juggling Roles Pays Off

  11. Working Parent Stories readers span 54 countries.
That's three more than when we last published this info.
